Sorry mate - didn't see it

My car was fully polybushed and had fairly hard suspension. That coupled with the 17s and 40 profile tyres meant it was like a skateboard. An FRP was softer in my experience.

If I do go 17s again, I'll not be polybushing it as that adds quite a bit of harshness IMO.

 

Here's mine, took the grill out that has the badge on yesterday though, looks mean!

 

My frp when I first got it earlier this year. Sadly I think I'm going to be breaking it up in the next few weeks to fund my Frst project.

 

Why break it? Is there something catastrophically wrong with it?

 

drives well Glenn as its sat on pro race 1.2s 16", was very lucky to pick up a low mileage example, just needs few bits and pieces doing over the winter and it will be a proper nice little car

 

Dal how's Cherie getting on with the splitters? Any news?

Steve looks in lovely condition. You gonna hang on to it for a while?

 

Needs some rust sorting out on the rear and a few other small bits and pieces. Choice between the frp and the fiesta turbo to keep as a project now I have a littleun. Fiesta wins for me, miss boost!

It's worth more in bits so that's how it will go. Will miss it though! Such a hoot to drive!

As anyone got a spare screw cover spare.The one that looks like a triange and goes next to the heater vents inside the car.

I also need the yellow bit the bonnet stay sits in when the bonnet is open.

On the Nurburgring it's great. Unfortunately the UK roads are anything but smooth and can snap your hand about a bit mid corner.

The Puma was praised at launch for it's handling and responsiveness on 15s. Running 17s does compromise it's inherent handling somewhat IMO.

 

I think 16's with a drop is about the best compromise. Tyre selection is essential of course

I might try 2 of my Momo Arrow wheels that the wife has on her focus on the puma and see what it looks like.

I think the mondy 16inch 5 spokes look mint of the pumas.

 

If I ever won the lotto I would defo have a racing puma.

 

Is it the Escos 5 spokes that are slightly wider than the mondy 5's? 8" width?

 

I drove mine on the std 15s then rsmark86 came up with the 16s and it still drove great so Im a happy chappy

Racing Pumas always look amazing when ever you see them out and about. Never get tired of seeing them.

 

Please, please, PLEASE DON'T break it up, they're rare enough as it is without any more getting needlessly broken.

 

It's going! I doubt anyone would want it as it is now for similar money that I could break it for.
I'm not going to spend a grand or two making it mint again just to sell it.
The interior was sold months back anyway so more hassle than it's worth.

 

Another waste of a rare motor.

Don't complain when the prices soar.

 

It really is a bad outcome for the number of frp's but if it helps to keep one on the road fair do's. Shame still

 

Such a shame to hear its gonna get broke.At the end of the day its yoyr car so you do what you want.
