Is it just me that thinks the seat is a little too high? Maybe I'm just used to the celica? But even getting in the 206 seems a little bit lower seat position. And I've lowered it as much as possible too

 

must just be you as mine goes pretty low and in the puma I bought to break it sits low too

 

has yours not got 2 handles to adjust it mate?

the front of the seats do sit quite high, ive only got little legs so notice this on cars lol

buy a height adjustable one maby? try it before ye buy one maby

 

It's as though it's the actual runners that are higher if that makes sense. The leathers will be outed for recaros soon anyway so I'll stick with it

have to wonder if someone has played with the seat runner as my thunder seat adjusts up and down

 

Mine just seems to raise the base of the seat to the rear of it. I'm gonna take it to pieces and have a look. It's no good to anyone if I sell it as is

the electric hieght adjust ones are all higher than standard seats. Commonly considered in the puma world that the seats sit too high for a sports coupe. Im a short arse and find them too high especially with a helmet on for track days.

 

I bought a pre-99 Pumita (it was confiscated by German authorities because it wasn't registered) and the seats were high, now I have a post-99 model but with leather Recaros and yeah, the seat isn't overly but still perceivably a tad too high (other than that the recaros are brillllllliant)

Then I bought Escort Recaros ('92 RS2000) because I read somewhere they would lie lower but without installing them I've measured they´re the same height as my Puma's.

It is a shame. For me the Puma is THE perfect car, it feels like a go-kart, it beats everything on the road, everything is direct, linear, analog, it looks fantastic, it's an understated secret gem... but the seating is not quite it. I may try to find sparco Torinos (as in the FRP)

ANY idea, suggestion or advice will be appreciated...

 

I put a pair of bucket seats in my puma. The sit lower than the standard seats.
