average price for new cam belt and water

Default average price for new cam belt and water

my mk1 1.8 focus will soon be due a new cam belt and water pump, was last changed at 53k cars now done 88k, had one quote at £250 using OE parts, is this the sort of price ill be looking at for it to be done

didnt think the cambelt were due until 100k/ 10 years on these motors?

either way the cambelt & water pump from ford shoudl be around £130 from memory so that's a good price

According to the Haynes it's around every 40k, wen I get mine done it would be between 90-100k miles

Plus the waterpump is not driven by the cambelt so if its in good condition theres no need to replace it.
