Default My Old Mini - 1430cc!

Hey all, just wading through some pics and found a few of my old min, just before I sold it last June - spent about 5 years bringing it up to the level it was - 1430cc, 45DCOE Weber, full flowed head, high lift cam, steel flywheel, long stroke tufrided crank, straight cut drop gears and gearset, 4 pin diff - the list goes on - had 140bhp @ flywheel and a noise just to die for!

Not quite a Ford I know but a true modified machine that deserves a look in!

Yes they're amazing fun, surprised a few cars too with it's go. The noise from the gears, especially due to the layout of the drop gears, was just phenomenal.

Yes have seen a few of those conversions - can even get a special made up spaceframe to accomodate it!

Preferred sticking with the A-Series though, beautiful noise and to be honest much much stronger than people think. Ran this lump for 2 years and never went bang!
