Hi I am in the process of putting a focus rs engine in my sierra with a t5 cossie box does anyone no anyone who could make me some engine mounys modify the sump and the main thing make a spacer plate to mate the cossie t5 box to the rs engine using a 960 volvo auto bellhousing thanks

Phoned them he wanted 500 just to make the adapter plate tbh I have the chance of getting it done off mk motorsport

 

Ł500 isnt unreasonable.

failing that, make a template out of wood and give it to a old skool engineer with a lathe.

 

Thats what I will do or I will use mk motorsport if I sm stuck could probably make mounts and sump my self just not sure if I have the knowledge to do bell housing lol

 

There's a guy on here building a 100e with an st motor converted to rwd , find his thread and see how he did it

 

Av read itate and contacted him but unfortunately he dont have access to machines any more or the templates

Well already got engine once fitted will be coming back out to go to jamsport for a bit tweeking and got my box and bellhousing just need to get adapter plate machined up and work out for me engine mounts and sump modified then can get it bolted in with some aftermarket management then can start getting it some were alot of work but will be worth it in the end hoping to have it done for croft lol

 

It is by far better to get hold of an fwd gerbox for the volvo lump and cut the bellhousing and weld it to the RWD gearbox. Even if you break the T5 you can swap the bellhousings.

 

I have a 960 volvo auto bell housing that bolts straight up just need to make adapter between bell housing and t5 box

 

Make your adaptor template
Then get it cast
Then machined

It shouldn't cost more then Ł250 if your wise about it
And remember if you make a pattern , add 1% for shrinkages

 

Tbh I dont really no what I am doing when it comes to the bell housing adapter I would rather pay some one who does

 

post some pics of the engine mounts

 

I will do when I make thwm up mate got to get the spacer plate for box made first so I can mount the box to engine to make everything up
