Default CVH question

Hi,

My parents have a 1800 CVH Sierra, this means it has the infamous Pierberg carburetor.

The latter has now worn out, as has the choke unit.

The trouble is sourcing both of the above new is proving impossible, and even if it were, I don't really want to as it's a useless carburetor to start with.

So then the question is does anybody know of a decent carburetor which would fit, i.e. a Weber from a Pinto for example, and would much work be involved in fitting it?

Thanks,

Martin

Thanks for this, despite using them in the past I thought they dealt in the faster Fords, but a quick phone call saw then going away to inquire and within 10 minutes they came back with a suitable Weber, brilliant service.

Thanks again mate!

I did have the thought of EFI, but will be quite a lot of work.

It's quite involved to fit a Weber from what I have discovered.
