I have a 02 mondeo tdci noticed it was losing water got under got underneath and there is a small u shape pipe coming from heter matrix.Can not find any info on what it is one end goes into bulkhead the other is connected to nothing and water is dripping out it is only about 3inch long.Thought it might be a a vacume pipe but should it not be connected to something and why is water coming out.it is losing quite a bit over a couple of days water had dropped below min mark any idear ???

 

the pipe might be the air con drop off pipe so that the water doesn't puddle anywhere

but if you are losing it from the header tank that could be something else altogether
