Went out in my mates Jaguar XKR 75 the other night. All I can say is ballistic, he put his foot down and the power was immense, it's also a stunning car. Time to add one to my "if I win the lottery list". Anyone else been in one?

 

Jag have and do make some cracking cars.

My dad has the XF 3 litre twin turbo diesel.It goes well for a big car.

i was a passenger in one a few weeks ago, deceptively quick. 100mph so easy. driver said it was alot quicker than the aston with the same engine.

 

Never been in one, but i have had the same feeling as you, when i went out in my mates Chrysler 300c SRT8 Hemi.

The power was just brutal and the supercharger power delivery was so different from the way a turbo's boost comes in, no lag just pure aggression. I bet if you spent a few quid at a Jaguar tuners you come unleash even more power and remove the top speed limiter. Definitely a car to put on my "I want" list and I bet it's one that gets ignorantly overlooked by a lot of people in favour of something like a Porsche or Aston.

A friend had a Paramount tuned version cant believe some of the descriptions its fast but he was unhappy with its grunt. He swapped it for a big AMG Merc which was way way faster a genuine fast car. He scared me in the Merc.

 

Very nice mate. Is that the new F Type? That must pretty much be a dream job, paid to drive cars like that every day.
Just to clarify the XKR that i am referring to in my opening post is the 5.0 litre supercharged version not the 4.2 litre version.

Which descriptions can't you believe Rod? I assume your friend swapped his Jag for an AMG SLS Coupe (which is seriously quick but also seriously pricey) as the AMG C63 is no quicker than the Jaguar going by the Mercedes webpage.

£ for £ i would stick with the 5.0 litre supercharged XKR - the RS version if i could conjure up enough dosh.
