Default Any alarm/electrical wiz's?

Hey peeps ive got a s2 turbo, it has a toad alarm fitted to it. now and then it plays up.
The alarm wont take the immobilizer off but it will work the central locking.
It seems to happen if you leave the car for a short time and not arm the alarm, say if you start the car then turn it off run in the house and back out it will happen then but not all the time.
I know it is a very vague description but does any1 have any idears?
Thanks Rob.

sounds like its getting confused when it auto arms.

does it work ok if you lock then reunlock the car??

You want to be looking for dodgy wiring on the immobilisor circuit. could be typical earth or could be high resistance wire due to kink or heat etc.

Why don't you give a bloke called steve hogan a call on 07818842479. He is good at what he does as he rebuilt my wiring harness for my escort Cosworth and fitted the alarm. He is also in Birmingham and he is mobile

Sounds normal to me, it automatically activates the imobiliser incase you have just forgotten to lock it.
It can be deactivated or the time period increased by going through the menus, you need your pin number for this. Otherwise justnpress the unlock button again and it will deactivate the immobiliser.

If you press the unlock button it doesn't come off. You have to sit there until it works again, it still doesn't cure the problem if you disconnect and reconnect the battery.
