I really like the DS2500

Try the DS3000 which is a more track based pad but the brake dust is like cement

I'd strongly recommend the opposite to that if he's getting poor cold performance with DS2500's, DS3000 will be way worse! I'd look at the set up as DS2500 should be absolutely fine.

What could cause the pads to be rubbish Martin? The calipers have had new seals and pistions about 200 miles ago.could the poor performance be down to the discs?

There's loads of factors that could cause poor braking, master cylinder bore is one.. Have you ever had them working to your satisfaction??

Fair enough Martin. Could they not need bleeding again?

Never really had them working aswell as I think they should be.replaced the master clyinder with one off a mk5 fiesta (alloy one not steel) and the brakes are better than they where with the ka one I had on there.i haven't changed the discs and pads since I bought the setup second hand.only rebuilt the calipers. Could the wrong thickness discs cause any issues(too thin)

I changed from ds2500 to pagid rs14. The ds2500 i thought was a great pad. Good bite from cold but it wrecked my discs with leaving pad deposits on it. I dont think pad change will make your brakes any better. Maybe youve glazed them. Go out and give them death see if i makes it any better

Speak to Paul at Carbon Lorraine.

I switched to them, and they are far far better when cold and for normal driving, and still work superb when hot.
