It is a cool car once the leather/wheels/bonnet/lights and wrap are replaced
Went in a 600bhp dyno proven E46 M3 with a VF Engineering kit on it and it went very, very well.

Cabrio?!
.....oh.
I'd love to show mine some boost.. but the costs of doing so properly from scratch are pretty extreme unfortunately. You are waaay better off buying one that's already done like this. Look forward to seeing its journey back to a more OE-look Dan.
Cheers,
Grant

Yeah a good kit is like Ł6000 plus fitting!!
Will do a little resto I think on here
I knew of this car when it was silver had black wheels and silver lip.
If its the same one it was based in London but i am sure its the same one.
Imo take it completely back to stock indicators and put diamond cut wheels on and it will look stunning

My car spotting skills are still strong then!
Bonnet looks great in the flesh - it does have some pretty shite aftermarket LED conversion lights too, worth swapping.
Nice buy though - have you sold the other M3 as you said looking for a more sensible daily and unless you're on meth this isn't a sensible daily!

My m3 engine bay is the same colour as the car but just base coat, no lacquer. It just looks Matt.
Would be very strange of BMW to paint the engine bay a different colour to the car. Would be a lot more work for them to mask it up...
Check inside the boot, pull carpets back...

Pretty much every BMW has just the base coat in the engine bay. For a silver car it's white.

Love that, I have turned into a massive fan of BMW's since owning my E61.
I have also noticed a few Facebook wars on my page between Ford fans and BMW fans, the rivalry is impressive and have seen people fall out over the subject
But, I would love one as a track toy now too.

I've only seen the poverty models non colour coded, all the M's I've seen are colour coded under the bonnet but not lacquered, had an M3 and M5 and they were both the same, also a friend has a silver/grey M3 and that is silver grey in the engine bay.
that's the way they all are. close to the colour but not lacquered. silver ones are a kinda white/silver/primer colour under the bonnet. the pictures make that one look more white. my steel grey is a non lacquered grey under the bonnet
