I am going to start making my own exhaust system and screamer pipe for my fiesta but wanted to know what thickness people go for?

I was thinking 304 stainless, 1.5mm thickness

That's what I use mate it wont work out cheap tho

 

Either 1.2 or 1.5mm. 1.5mm is easier to work with.

Do you already have a source for your bends?

 

i used 316 (because it was local) and it was 1.6mm thick, didn't crack or anything like that and easy enough to work with.

 

Think il go with the 304 stainless then,

I guess the 304 filler to match is best?

 

Ojz engineering mark for the bends and you tend to go up a grade for filling so 308L

 

As above - 308L for your filler, 1mm or smaller for preference. I find that 316L is a lot easier to come by in the smaller sizes and it doesn't hurt to use that instead.

OJZ is my first port of call too, but last time I spoke to Lance he did tell me he was packing in selling bends and components etc. I have heard good things about Chris Tullet, but I'm yet to try them myself.

 

mark ojz are cheaper but I use chris tullet for parts and they are also top quality , I would not buy off ebay as there is a lot of shit pipe around
