Default Evolution Chips (Fao Chip, Stu etc)

When EC offers DPF removal, does this include gutting the DPF and putting it back in the exhaust system, or just the software remap as part of a power or economy remap? Same with the EGR I guess?

I ask because I am upgrading to a 170 tdi A3 from my 140 tdi A3 pretty soon, and I don't really want a DPF.

Also what are the power and torque figures? It will be S-Tronic and I don't know if that requires a torque limit?

Thankyou.

Some installers will offer an additional service of removing the DPF physically for you, either by gutting it or replacing it with a new section minus the DPF, but not all, you need to talk to your local installers really about what they offer.
The evolutions chips side of it is purely the software changes not the hardware.

Its VERY important that the hardware changes are done too, and no installer should be doing the software side unless either they do the hardware side as well, or they have assurance from the customer its already been done. Damage can result otherwise.
