Seen pucs off his new engine on Facebook that's making 1000bhp and is going to be at time attack! Looks awesome any one else seen it?

 

Sounds good.I thought he couldnt use his focus for time attack.Or has he got a new car too.

afaik a lot of campaigning was done to allow it to compete amongst the others, I think the space framed beetle was the last straw which forced ta to allow the focus to be entered as a competitor and not in the prototype/specialist section. FAR over due in my opinion. Its going to be a great weekend weather permitting

 

Is Andy or Charlie driving this weekend, will be good to see how it goes against all the other big power stuff.
Is the gob stopper 2 going to be used this weekend ?

 

andy, gs2 is on the garage list but everything is very quiet about it

the focus never fails to amuse when on full chat scaring the crap out what ever is in its way

need to get a good crowd down brands supporting the blue oval lads

 

Would love to see how it does against the Gobstopper 2. Or rather how the Gobstopper does against the Focus!

Might try and pop down to Brands on Sunday - how much is it to get in does anyone know?

I'd still back Gobstopper tbh if it's up & running.

Great job on the a Focus Engine etc and fingers crossed for all involved

 

1000 bhp and bet that's genuine power too if it an SCC engine

 

Don't think he ever mentioned it was 1000bhp....
That was including the transit it was in.

 

I think it will be great to see it tussle with the best out there again win or not

 

The old engine would have been near 1000 bhp including andrew or charlies transit

We said "Said to be 1000bhp" as we don't know the actual figure

 

they're at the wind up
no 1 has ever quoted what power it is
but theres been a hint or 2 to suggest its 1000bhp
the old 1 was over 800
now its got alloy block, big port head and a turbo that you could prob fit a t4 inside the inlet
if it aint 1000bhp then it must be chapping the door of it

 

Any one no who is driving it yet. As the ta fb page says its Andrew but the car says charley on the side,

I'm going on Sunday. My mates racing his Subaru legacy (650-700bhp)
If the focus and gs2 both go it will be a great day!

 

I see its in the car now and running. If that thing goes on the Dyno ill probably hear it from my house. I'm about half a mile away! Probably sook ma bed sheets off me when the turbo spools up!

 

I'll be there to cheer Ronnie, leaving for the tunnel in 1 hour

 

Will be epic to see the focus in action, gotta say though the gobbstopper 2 looks serious! Was looking at it on speedhunters, serious amount of work gone into it, should be one hell of a battle.

The focus will be finnished tomorrow and loaded onto the trailer for a long journey with no shakedown ! AG style ! dont do shakedowns just get it lit

Will be good to see them up against each other. The focus was quicker before at a round of time attack a few years back with the 680hp engine against the gobstopper 1 I'm sure. Fingers crossed its quicker this time too.😊

 

What power is gobstopper 2 I didn't see anything in article?
