any pics of it? or was it just standard?

parked up for 2 years would mean some seroius understanding of how to get it out wihtout making a fuss so it's probably been lifted overnight

any cctv in the area or surrounding roads?

also, has anyone been owrking around the area lately and seen it?

Looks like someone went for a view 'to buy it' and popped back later and took it.

That's a 'famous' car on here.

Scum of the earth, no one probably knew where it was until it was advertised for sales.

Poor sod, he'd had it a long time from what I can remember.

so either it's been nicked and been stuck on ebay or, more likely, someones decided to sell it wihtout telling anyone and it's gone to a legitimate new owner?

I would be suspect of anyone who came to see it or who got details of where it was to view it. That said, anyone who knows the area may have been able to work out where it was from the photos on ebay and looks like the sort of place that pretty dark and unobserved at night. Hope the insurance dont see it as suss that it goes missing after being advertised for sale, any excuse for them not to pay out.

That's 90s as fuck...

...but extremely shite for the owner if it's been taken. I'd also be looking into all contact I'd had both from eBay or in person since it was put up for sale, bit toooo much of a coincidence IMO.

Cheers,
Grant

Worst thing about ebay is i found on the phone app it shows your registered post code so all can see - before you list anything check you've changed your location - even if it's not the car your selling if you have it advertised on here say then ebay using the same picture, they can view your profile from here which may contain pictures then your ebay listing with location

perhaps the council removed it as he could not afford the rent increase in his council garage, or the police have impounded it due to it being a fricking disgrace to the blue oval name

Lol at you guys

He told me he had 1 viewing and he had the car at his home address for them to view it and was blocked in the drive by another car for a week before he put it back in the garage
So definitely it was being watched, he's not short of a few bob to be doing a silly act nor he needs any money

eBay date states on the link he had it up for sale last year, he has had it for many years and did tell me he won't sell it years ago, but I haven't been in touch with him for a long time

I suspect that the person who came to view it has something to do with it he is going to do some digging on that

Thanks for the positive comments

I have to ask.... does your mate not realise the car looks like an abortion?

Why did he not just peel off and remove all the shite he's put on it and put it back to standard?

it would have then sold for good money within a few days!!

I lose count of the amount of threads I have seen on this car over the past few years... did he not realise it was a laughing stock?

It is abit suspicious, but very sad at the sometime as there are some low life's around.

Knew of a car advertised on here years ago for sale by a regular poster, then suddenly was stolen.....then I got offered parts off the car and learnt the truth that someone was paid to 'steal it' /

Sorry just voicing of the dodgie-ness that happens with insurance jobs.

5p bet someone viewed it then came back, or was given the heads up where it was.

I was actually in east lane on monday at a mates bodyshop in the GEC ind estate and I'm there again tomorrow, thing is this area is a haven of industrial units and rank backstreet garages, this car if its stolen would have been stripped in 24hours as it would stick out like a pair of bollocks on a snake with its shocking looks
