ZVH MFI to ZVH EFI Conversion help

Default ZVH MFI to ZVH EFI Conversion help

Hi all i was wondering if someone would be willing to help me with some info iv got an escort rs turbo with a 2.1 zvh mfi and im wonting to convert it to efi, iv got the inlet manifold fuel rail and rail loom efi flywheel and crank sensor iv got a xr3i efi head i was goin to swap the internals of and put on mine so no need for conversion plates, the main thing is that iv got a full xr3i incar and engine bay loom i wont to use for this conversion and i can get hold of a ofab ecu i have read that i need to change to pins round for this to work and was wondering if any1 noes what to do and if there is anything i am missing thanks darren

Have a look at the stickies in the rs turbo section, there is a guide for cvh mfi-efi it should cover what you need to know.

If your using the Mfi bottom end your gonna have to either bore a hole for a cps bracket to pick up a signal off the efi flywheel or mount a trigger wheel on the crank pully with a bracket.You can buy these brackets new.

Hi iv got a zvh so it is a zetec bottom and has the crank sensor already what u need to no is what pins need changeing if i use a xr3i loom and a ofab ecu?

What I do no is the xr2i and 3i efi are the same loom.here is a guide on pin outs from 2i to ofab.This will sort you out.I did read a while ago that someone had plugged the ofab ecu into the 3i loom and it worked straight away with no changes.I think it depended on the yr of the car
