Slipping clutch or you might have very good tyres and it grips well.

Either way, why would you want to drive it like a bell-end and wheelspin?

Muppet room thread this.

Put tyre dressing on your tread it will wheel spin then. Dont expect it to handle at all though

Had a mate say this when he had a GTi 180 and I turned the TC off bounced it off the limiter and dumped the clutch and hey presto wheel spun like mad but agree with the others why would you want to do it? Wish some of my cars just gripped instead of spinning up, nothing to gain from wheel spinning unless you're trying to impress a group of 15 year old girls lol

P.S. A DMF and clutch kit ain't cheap so I'd stop trying to spin it unless you fancy a bill perilously close to 4 figures.

They won't, good tyres and a good geometry setup for handling just doesn't let them. On a very wet road they will if you really need to though

While it's not a cheap job its no longer near 4 figures, depending on the garage used and their labour rate. Just had ours done at £660.00.

i agree with others just dont try cos it will kill your clutch. 170s also have a torque limiter in first gear where the ecu alters timing to reduce full power and the tcs doesnt actually go completely off until you remove the fuse apparently, but this also disables the abs so dont do this either.
