I have a MK3 escort dash to go into my car as my one is cracked and beyond repair. I have a problem that I cant locate the lower trim to go below the steering column which is removable.
Does anybody know what this particular part is called or where I can get one from.
All the other MK3 dashboards I have seen have been one peice so this one has me confused.
Any help would be appreciated

Also as far as I know s1 dash's bottom cowling can't be removed

 

that bit doesnt come off its part of dash as iam an escort mk3 mk4 breaker

 

That's what I thought unless its off a van?

 

The solid plastic dashboards like the one in the picture are from vans and L models. They have the separate piece of trim which unscrews.

GL/Ghia/XR/RS/cabriolet models all have the 1-piece padded dash which does not have a separate piece.

 

ive never knew they unscrew ive got a poverty dash in my rwd mk3 and when ive dropped the rack down had to cut that bottom off

 

Yes the big square bit that's missing on yours, comes off on the hard plastic dashes ,there is one in my local breaker I will grab it next time im in there
