Default help!!

Hi all, i´m a newbie, my names Pat.
I have a focus tddi 90hp with 280,000 miles. The other day driving along the motorway the glow plug lights came on, i switched off engine and it restarted but went about a mile more before cutting out completely.
The problem is it turns over but no fuel goes in or out of the fuel filter. There is no engine warning light on dash, it comes on then goes out.
A local garage has said it is the injector pump. I don´t know but it seems to me that it is the fuel pump. Does the fuel pump work when cranking over , or is it electric and works all the time?. As i said before no fuel reaches the fuel filter.

Is it the injector pump? or the fuel pump? or something else.?https://passionford.com/forum/images/icons/icon8.gif

Cheers in advance

No idea, I'd talk to the garage again.

With the glowplug light on I'd guess it is the injection pump though
