saw pictures of 2 of the cars i saw. they were piss poor quality, so not a good representation.

what pisses me off is when they lie down the phone, and big the car up, you get there and its a shed. do they expect you to go "never mind, i'll still have it because i came all this way".

fucks sake, why don't people just admit whats wrong and save all the hassle.

one place was a trader that was fixing up smacked cars (everything he had wasn't straight) and the other 2 i saw were private.

well the one i saw today, i asked the guy on the phone what the hood was like. he replied with "its just starting to go in the corners, but its useable" - couldn't believe it when i saw it. the rips were 5" up, 5" accross on both sides, been screwed into the roll bar with wood screws and even the inner skin was ripped and fucked. the thing would have leaked like fuck at a hint of rain.

all he had to say was "needs a new roof mate" and i'd have known it was way overpriced and not bothered.

the one car i looked at had a wing replaced and they'd just rivited it on, and sprayed it by hand badly, with no laquer.

the other car i saw was a Mk6 that was good money but was a bit tatty (rust coming through the sills and door bottoms) and faded paint, the motor for the power hood was seized. it was described as "excellent condition" - fuck knows where he got that from.

why does everyone have to be a billy bullshitter.
