Default 07 reg ST3 Focus

There is one of these going near me for a good price, ive always liked them but thought they had a lot of problems engine wise and there was certain years to avoid? 08 reg was it? also are they that poor on fuel as they make out? I do a 20 mile total trip to work and back each day half town half A roads and a 30 mile round trip at weekends on A roads? might go have a look as i know enough people in the bodywork trade.

The 57 ones are the ones to avoid, think an 07 may be on the tail end of those!

For the money, they are excellent cars, heavy-ish on the juice but they are generally well built and most niggles should have been ironed out.

Mines an 07 & never had any issues at all.

I get 20mpg around town, all hilly traffic stop start driving. With your drive, I would expect mid 20s.

Mine's an '07 plate and seems ok but I've only had it 5 months so time will tell!!

MPG is shit but that's mainly down to my right foot being filled with lead!! It's no worse on juice than my ST170 really.

Very nice car to drive though, overall I'm pretty happy with it, just needs a little more power!

Mines an 07 and epic! 15mpg if you lead foot it! Simple thing is if mpg puts you off then you should be looking for tdci and not even considering a performance car.

Also no issues with mine. Just yearly maintenance costs to be expected.
