...is awesome and proving to be reliable...ish.
For anyone that doesn't know, Drag Week is an event run by Hot Rod magazine in America to prove the fastest street legal car. They run at a strip, then drive around 200miles a day to run at another strip the next day. This is done for a week to prove the car is totally street legal.
No one has ever run as fast as this year's cars though.
No back up car is allowed so they take all their spares with them...

Larson isn't running this year! Supposedly had other commitments, and car broke but he also apparently said he didn't want to compete with the ex-Pro-mod cars as they weren't true street cars... and he couldn't win against them, which is proving true so far.

It's a cool event for sure.
But as always, the "street legal" debate could last all year until the next event. Doesnt really take much over there for a car to be legal in some states.
Some superb machinery though.
Would be better to throw a spanner in the works and make them compete around a track too lol

There is a big argument about this at the minute, as last year's winner was an all steel car where as some of these cars are ex-pro mod dragsters that have been converted to run on the street:

The whole idea of it being taken too far is summed up nicely here - it always goes like this!
However, if these cars do 1200 miles in five days and run a 6 second pass every day then it proves what it needs to prove!
Andy Frost's car is going through the same argument at the minute!
