clifford key fob problem

i have a problem with my concept 50 fob, when i press the button the light just flashes and it doesnt disarm/unlock the doors

if i use the valet switch when i unlock the doors i can start and drive the car

please help me, got the car cheap cos of this problem si i wanna sort it cheaply

You sure its not just the Keyfob battery??

OK, so is the Remote actually programmed to the Alarm?? Have you got a User Guide?? If so, follow the procedure for 'Removing Remotes', then 'Add New Remote'.

The light does 'flicker' when it's working properly. If it stays constant the battery is knackered!

I thought it was playing silling fookers just changed the battery and all was fine.
