Default 1.6 tdci with 283k?

well lads looking into getting myself a focus 1.6 tdci van, what are they like in general any major problems?

seen one advetised with 283k kilometers is this to high? looks very clean in photos

That's almost 177,000 miles and although I know diesels can cover the miles well the 1.6 is far from bomb proof so I would be very carefull but I wouldn't rule it out without having looked at the car.

Thanks do reply car is a 4 hour drive away I don't think it would be worth it?
Although its considerably cheaper than any other one for sale

What would you expect to go at that mileage?

Depends on what it's had done to it. If it's had loads of things replaced - Pump, injectors, alternator, clutch etc etc... having said that – if it's much cheaper than all the others it's highly likely it's going to be a shed. If it was nearby it would be worth a look, but for an 8 hour round trip you'd have to be nuts to go and view it!

Yeah that's what I was thinking

There is not many van versions at the right money

Even if she is a shed at 2500e and the cheapest one close to it is 4000e
