I have an annoying rattling noise when accelerating. It sounds like pinking, but I didn't think they were supposed to do that any more. The management light is not on, and my (admittedly cheap) OBD reader shows nothing wrong. Is pinking something the misfire sensor would definitely detect? If the misfire sensor was broken, would the engine light come on?

Can anyone suggest something I can look at?
