Default Revs are high with new icv

Can anybody help my car was running low on revs after it warmed up went down to bout 500 and kept trying to stall so I fitted a new icv and now the revs won't drop below 2000 any ideas plz would be helpful thanks

Remove the 3 amp KAM fuse, think its in the battery junction box, leave it out a few minutes and refit and try again.

Or just disconnect the battery for a few mins, dsame difference. Remember you'll need your radio code!

I've tried that but nothin so left it disconnected over night and still had no luck with it at all done exactly the same

Ah balls.

Check for air leaks, what Focus is it, what year, what engine etc.

Sorry forgot to put that would be helpful it's a ford focus mk1 1.6 t reg I have tried checking the pipes couldn't find anything there either but can never be to sure is there a way to put something there and see if it comes out of anywhere or anything

I've found sometimes the icv come fully extended and takes a whole to move as normally doesn't move far, sometimes they go to the in position by having ignition on and disconnect reconnect a few times the motor moves to correct place

Do ya mean disconnect battery few times? I have tried everything else suggested still no bloody luck anymore help plz

Is the seal fitted properly? Take the valve off again and make sure you haven't pinched it or anything.

no with everything connected, turn ignition on but don't start, remove the icv and get someone else to turn ignition on and off and see of it moves it will only move a tiny bit, it is in the same position as the old one?
