The other night my driveshaft came off the diff drive flange. Of the 6 bolts, 2 have stripped the threads in the flange.
Can these be helicoiled safely? Or is that unwise due to the torque forces on the bolts?
Can I simply replace the flange from another diff? If so, how hard is it to do?
Any other suggestions as a quick fix as Ford Fair is only next weekend?

Can it be done with the diff in the car or does it have to come out? I know what I'm doing with spanners but just not stripped a diff before so sorry for the questions.
