Just wondering if there's an convoy going up the M1/M40

 

im going from bracknell berks....... up the m40

 

Oh ok I'm getting up there early is 1 to help Steve and 2 to find a good spot to hide my car lol

 

I would say follow me but trust me you wont want to meet up at silly o clock , plenty of others will no doubt have meets for convoys

 

Depends at what time you say is sill o'clock as I get up at 6 every day for work, it only says a 2 hr drive so that ain't too bad

 

Im leaving my house at 5am as I want to be leaning on the gates as they open dave

 

That's roughly when I'm thinking of leaving, where ya reckon is the best place to join

 

Where abouts are you planning on leaving from? There are a couple of us meeting at Doncaster B&Q early sunday morning as rest are staying over the Saturday night

 

wont be any convoy though mate as hardly anyone will be up but your welcome to meet me at J5 on the M1 unless your heading up the A40, but its a early start as most convoys from the south meet up later

 

Ill be coming from Kent/SE London, I could meet you on the m1, what's got more pot holes m1/m40 as my fiestas a bit on the low side lol

 

M1 has just been done lol, will pm you nevt week to sort details as no other sod will be up at that time

 

Lol no probs, that is one of the best parts of a car show is the road trip there and back, I'm glad I'm leaving early as we had to pull over last time I went to due to overheating in the ford car park just on the main stretch before silverstone as the traffic there is ridiculous lol

 

its a major bottleneck on show day, took 2 hours in 2011 to drive 7 miles at 7.30 am so never again will I leave late

 

Yeh it's a nightmare plus we all know fords hate being in traffic lol, I just hope I don't ground out on the bridge entrance

 

my toy aint going to be ready, no where to get it mapped in time after i finally put it together

so im going to come up in my fiesta zetec s daily

haha, they are great, when your toy breaks they still love abit of a track day lol

 

It's the newest ford I've owned as well and I was shocked how well they handle too

 

Yeh wait till you get out on track, if your like me and will throw a car into a corner at stupid speeds they hold real good corner speeds

I'm bad enough on the roads lol especially with these bridgestones as they grip like feck,
Over run by fezzas lol

 

Will be leaving Kent about 5ish now I've been given the all clear,
But don't think il be welcome in convoy as my exhaust is so bloody loud...

 

Lol mine maybe loud, debating wether to de-cat or not before I go

 

il be heading up the m40,be at mcdonalds on the a43 for 7 for breakfast.

 

We have a little convoy of 2 saff cossies, rs500, focus rs, series 1, granny cossie, 3i cabby we will be leaving Norfolk coast around 5:30 and going Kings lynn, Peterborough, Northampton. Anyone want join up on the way is more than welcome route planner say 3hrs but I reckon less than 2 is possible lol

Best part of a journey is seeing your arrival time and knocking 20mins off lol

 

nice to see forward planning as most on here just roll out of bed and jump in the car half dressed and half asleep
