replaced ignition coil, plugs, leads, dizzy & rotor, cold start. fuel pump primes up, new fuel relay too.

the car itself runs excellent, just starting it is becoming quite annoying. especially from hot.

started the car from cold this morning and just kept turning..


almost fired up, then made a pop/small backfire out of my airbox hole ( I don't have the bendy pipe that goes into the wing)

one more try at starting up then it fired straight up and ran sweet.

is there something missing that I haven't replaced, fuel distributor or something?


car is a 87 xr4x4

 

sounds like an timing problem
