so been out cleaning the car today and noticed a few little things i never saw before

its got a cupple of parking dents on front wing and a few stone chips on bonnet i was just thinking i would get them sorted and car would be fine

but noticed a few dents on the roof and now im feeling a bit down about the shell it is a cat d as well

so do sell

or try find a saph or escort shell and reshell into one of them

 

Depends what it owes you and what a shell costs I guess. Personally if it only needs a bit of light bodywork and that, I'd investigate the cost of a roof skin and toss that up too.

 

if the shell is solid with little or no rust i would just clean up what you have ,as solid shells are in short supply mate

 

the shell is good but as said its is a cat d

there is no rot its got a small bubble at the corner of the nsr door and a little blister in the paint cumming up on edge of the front wing lip were its been folded

 

i'd say repair it to be honest
cat d means it'll never be worth top money but i'd rather have a tidy cat d than a rough/rotten shell with clean i.d
shame realy as it could be a cat d for next to nothing, doesn't make it a bad car

Yeah I think I kind if agree I have photos of the damage was just Ben door and a bit on the rear arch cripple of scratches

Still all the original pannels and all the glass is original

 

To be honest I settled for a saph4x4 iv wanted an escort Cosworth since I was about 12 but never going to get the extra I need to bye a running one do maybe this is my next best option

 

if it still on original panels and their rust free,i would just tidy it up mate
