Just watched the Gadget Show on ch5, and they showed the worlds largest plasma screen TV - a whopping 102" (that's 7ft-something wide by 4ft-something high!!!!!!)
Apparently when it was unveild hundreds of orders flooded in - even tho the price hasn't been announced cos it is still not ready for mainstream production. But Samsung also do a "mere" 80" version which retails at......................... £23,000

Nige - what do you use? LCD or DLP projectors?
Funny thing I saw on the show (they did projectors too) is that the best projector for the human eye (ie, the best picture that the human eye can interrpret) are the CRT based ones you get in pubs - the big fook off one with the red, blue and green lenses on the front! They also produce the best colours, and have the best black out of all projectors on the market. I was surprised at that. I was also surprised that they cost about £8,000!!!!
Aparently LCD projectors produce near CRT quality colours but you can only go so big with em before it begins to look very pixel-ated and the human eye starts to fail to "merge" the pixels together, which is where the DLP projectors take over, but the colour is not as vibrant or rich as LCD and CRT. But both apparently work really well in daylight as well as in the dark, which is where the CRT based one fails, as it is not very good in the daylight at all....

Which do you think has the better picture tho Nige? DLP or LCD? And again for the colour, and lastly, which goes the biggest before you loose picture quality and becomes too pixilated/bitty?
