can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is on an Rs EFI engine?

Im no expert but normally when not located inside in engine bay they are near tank under the car in a cradle

Didnt know u had an escort. Just saw efi. Yea check by fuel tank. Just follow the line from tank to fuel rail. U SHOULD have one. If not fit one asap.

There is no thing as a 'EFI' RST, they are 'MFI', unless yours has been converted?

In any case, it should be just after the pump.

I will go and look, my car cuts out when i start driving into 2nd gear to speed up but starts straight away.
I'm guessing the filter maybe blocked, i was in traffic for 30mins static when it first happend so maybe fuel debris went through it?

If it's running an EFI pump and tank, it's a 'sock' attached to to bottom of the fuel pump (in the tank).

yes but you would still have an inline fuel filter

sorry refraze that , you should have an inline fuel filter

You know what- I haven't driven mine for so long, I forgot about the filter on the N/S chassis leg under the bonnet!
