Default 4x4 cos won't start

Hi guys I've got a problem with the car not starting
I took the car to have it chipped & set up & had wasted spark fitted at the same time, (well happy with all there work) but the guys told me the starter was on its last legs as it wasn't starting every time, anyway got it home whipped the starter off had it reconed put it back on but the car won't start??????? Starters doing its job fine, pump priming, got spark but it just turns over & over till it stinks of fuel, it's trying but just can't get there
I'm not 2 clever when it comes to the technical stuff!!! but this is doing my head in as I want to go out & play!!!!
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

First four things that spring to mind are...

1) you have disturbed or haven't reconnected the engine earth properly.
2) you have left one of the small batty terminals off if you removed the.
3) you have dislodged the blue engine coolant temperature sensor plug.
4) you have pulled off or broken the map sensor pipe

Hi ,

had the same problems on my 3 dr after doing some work and found out it had to do with the earth problems. More then likely touched one ....:-(

Also starting sometimes then again not ... drove me nuts.

I made a new earth cable to the ECU and the engine block what solved my issue , worth a try I think.
