Budget Fiesta Track car!
Welcome to my project!
I sold my saph cossie after sitting in the garage for 2 years, as I didn't have the room due to moving house, and was never going to have the money to finish it to a standard I was happy with!
So bought this for peanuts!

It had a few things wrong with it, but the price was right!
Immediately I stripped it! Sound deadening, stereo, seats etc.

Bought some coilovers, steering wheel, sparco bucket seats, and strut braces.

Did all the CV boots on the driveshafts

Put a new power steering pipe on.
Picked up a racing puma rear beam, as the wheel bearings and bushes has gone on the old beam, plus it was drums.

Rolled and cut what was left of the the rear arches, as with the discs and spacers, it's a bit wider. Then put the new arches on, will smooth smooth them at some point.

Fitted a polo bumper, and frs spiltter, still a lot of body work left to do!

Tax'd and MOT'd!

Fitted the steering wheel.

And air freshener of course!
Picked up a mk3 frst rear arb to fit!

And lastly picked these up to replace the black ones!

Next, to weld in the rear strut brace, fit some bigger front brakes....
Then rag the s**t out of it on the track!
Then a bigger engine!
Comments, and criticism welcome! Remember i'm on a budget with a baby on the way in September!!!
Cheers, Mikey

Did the roof wrap this week...

Then decided to do the spoiler as it looked a bit strange black, with the carbon rood wrap.

Really pleased with how it looks. Got to sort the body work out on the rest of the car and will wrap the rest. Not sure what colour yet!
Also got this in the post....

Will fit this once the 300mm brakes arrive!

They're Ford Rally Puma s1600 seats!
Small update.
Picked up some 16" Advans a while back, but were orange. Got them powder coated black, and fitted some toyo t1r's.
Decided to wrap it, as it looked a bit of a shed!
Here's the pics!

Got some grills and fog inserts coming for the front bumper this week, and hopefully should finish it before ford fair!
Thanks

Been a while since i've updated!
Things feel like they've been a little slow since the summer! I used the fez as a daily for a while! For most of the summer I was un-employed! So always had loads of time to work on the old gal!
We've had a new addition to the family, Luca! Born 5.9.13! So as you can imagine, spare time has been spent sleeping, and all my money goes on nappies and baby milk
And bought a 7 seater for the nippers!
I finished the wrap before Ford Fair, but as I had never done a full wrap before there were a few glitches! Tricks of the trade were needed!

We convoyed to Ford Fair with these lot! Obviously had trouble keeping up

Got some carbon door cards too!

I then decided a diet was a good idea! Not for me though.....

Sad News, sold the s1600 seats, but tripled my money, which was spent on other things! They were way too nice for my car, and I was always afraid of damaging them!
So I decided to Spend the money on other things!
Fibreglass bonnet!

And Boot!

The difference in weight is unreal!
The spending spree carried on....
I then had a change of plan RE wheels! I decided to go back to 15's for a number of reasons! And found these beauties!

They're Speedline 2118's from a rally ka team in Spain, run by Carlos Sainz!
When I picked them up, they had a slight ding, but after I knocked the chap down to next to nothing, I was on my way!
The bargains continued, and continued to spend the money from the seats!
Found some almost new 888's for what you'd usually pay for one

Got the 888's fitted, along with the tiny ding removed

As they are et30, and the 888's stick out a little, the arches needed rolling a bit

I've moved my attention back to the diet, and trying to neaten up the inside a little! I'm either making my own or ordering some poly windows, as we can get the material at work
Once they're ready i'll cut the
doors out!
I put some rubber edging on part of the door as it was quite sharp!

And also got some handles for the doors!
Took the heaters, air con, and pollen filter out! So everything is pretty gutted now, and she's looking a bit sorry for herself!

I've bought a few bits....
I've bought a new engine! Nothing spectacular, another zetec se with a nice set of cams, and headwork. But i'm going to wait until the weather gets a bit better before I do anything Re engine. As I've got to find a gearbox, and get the RST diff machined into it. Some form of induction! And a baffled sump!
I wanted to do a duratec on barrel tb's, but i'm trying to keep the cost down! As long as I have 150bhp ish, it will be fast enough!
I've picked up a brand new FRP exhaust manifold for next to nothing!

And also a non abs servo!

That's the spending done for this year!
I'm planning to paint the inside, sort the wiring out, move the battery to the rear, weld the strut brace in the rear, and plum in the brake lines through the car with the bias valve inside and fit the 300mm's!
So that should take me into next year!
I've been given these! But not sure if I want to use them, as I don't really want to scrap fuel injection! They're 40's! I can get an inlet for Ł120! Opinions please!

As I now wrap cars for a living, i'm not happy with the few glitches, so will re wrap the car in a different colour once everything else is finished!
Anyways, enough blabbing! Comments welcome! Cheers
