cologne 2.8 emissions too high

Default cologne 2.8 emissions too high
took it for a pre test the other day and failed on emissions being too high on my xr4x4

its had new fuel filter, plugs n leads recently.

how can I fix this?

is your fitted with a cat as I was lead to believe cars before cats don't have emission test

no it isn't mate, that's what I believed too. it is running pretty rich on idle mind

They do, It just has different parameters than the same model car that was factory fitted with a cat.

I've heard taking it for nice long run to warm them up before test helps but depends how long they sit there waiting for test?
