seam welding a sapphire
Unless you've got the car down to a bare shell, it's not worth the effort.
A decent multi-point cage and strut braces make a car more than stiff enough for what you need it for. If you were doing full blown motorsport then it'd be worth considering.
Just my 2p lol.

I think it would cost quite a. Bit to do a saph shell
I've done my dolomite shell and its took me an age
Cleaning all the seams to weld it up
I just cannot imagen the price at a body shop,

If you really want to go this way, maybe this is a good read for you:
There's loads of detailed informations in there how to prepare the shell.

A guy I know did this to his saph many moons ago . Seam welded everything he could find and i mean silly bits like the tunnel where it lays over the floor where the handbrake sits.
I dont see the point for a roadie plus its lots of messy work.
