give me your opinons guys
As James sayd, main thing is ur ok mate!! Iv been so close to prangin my saff a few times due to slipy roads and the famous cozy (smack on the face) boost cumn in... Hope ur car can be fixd
bro is still dead gutted on both counts for you doing that to your car and for him not being able to buy it, needless to say thats ended his cossie hunt now
ah thats a gutter for you. many moons ago i did a handbrake turn on a blind hairpin in my saph and punted the front into another car and was sick over it. many years later it dont hurt no more, so give it a few years and you will feel better.
what did you hit, armco?
Nah hit a hedgerow!! Don't want to go to another shell and going set up a resto thread! Floor, roof, pillar inner wing and chassis rails all straight! Just sill and quarter worry me!! No fluids leaked out the engine not even touched it and not even a puncture :s
As said least your ok mate, damage wise doesn't look good though if its damaged the sill b pillar and inner wing etc, hopefully just looks worse than it is though
Glad your ok mate , as for the car ..............id say its fooked , for what its going to cost get another one and remove all the good bits from the crashed one for spares .
Cheers for your thoughts people. Just waiting get it up on the ramp have a better look! Inner wings, pillar all ok and staright! Think it was lucky the car had been built right and was solid in the first place! Roofs fine aswell! Just worried about the floor and sill once its on the ramp! It aint going beat me thou! If it can be saved it will be whatever the cost or timescale! Like a drug that rs badge is
Holy fuck, I opened that pic and laughed at the damage (not at your loss). I seriously expected a mild photo with some repairable panel damage and a scuff
One for the album though, looked a really really nice car, but just go out and get another and put right all the niggles that the last one had! Hope you're ok, that must've been a fair knock!
Wow that's harsh mate, I'd be inconsolable if that was my car :-( hopefully it can be fixed, I've seen worse repaired in the body shop at work prob get it on the jig and get pulling
As already mentioned above best bet is to look for another shell mate and transfer your best bits and then recoupe abit of cash by selling whats left over!
Still waiting for report from the garage I use and bought the car from! Not touching insurance, go work whatever hours it takes get the extra cash! Already got ideas for want I want do to it/new shell. I actually think it looks a lot worse on the pic than when you looking around the car :s and as said above I've seen a lot lot worse put right and more importantly done right! Asoon as the garage have let me know once they have had a look on the ramp I'll begin me thread! It broke me the night it happened but all weekend I've just of the positives and gives me something do with me weekends! Haha Once its all done whichever way I end up going with it will be worth the wait!!
Not so bad if you don't go thru insurance as at least it not recorded. As long as its repaired to a good standard obviously. As said anything can be fixed just comes down to costs!!
Not touching insurance, go work whatever hours it takes get the extra cash!
I wouldn't post on a public forum with the car's numberplate if you're not going to tell the insurance. You have to tell them about any accidents, even if you don't claim.
Cheers dan, just wanted get the pic on and get peoples opinons as quick as possible! Its killing me not knowing as I still have not heard from the garage yet! Just want know it can be done and safe if so then I'll begin the plans and a thread.
Other than the obvious damage from pics it can be repaired however in my opinion if it has structural damage a reshell would be cheaper especially as you would need to respray it anyway
