is it just me or do other peolpe think that ford got it right every time with the wheel design on all rs cars

i keep looking at standard 3dr and saph lattice wheels at the minute

 

Must admit im the same, I ordered a set of comp th2 but cancelled and am going to get my standard lattice wheels refurbed as i love the standard look

 

,the only problem mate is the standard brake setup,which doesnt encourage fast driving

 

Not all rs cars, ever looked at a fiesta rs turbo lol

This is true but still, absolutely awful wheels now aha

 

Fiesta turbo wheels were awful and never been a fan of escort xr3 4 leaf clovers (admittedly they suit the car but are horrid)

Harvey one told me he ran a 500 brake on std brakes with updated material for ages no probs,and Jason did a track day with my self and Justin at mondelo in the cossies .we had aps and he had just pads and didnt have a problem .....

 

this is why mine is on super t's id rather the latice wheels tbh

 

I love standard wheels and when I got mine 12 years ago it was on them but standard wheels means you can't stop with power lol mine was bad at 350 on standard set up

 

And your still on about battery in the boot!!!

 

Not a fan of the lattice wheels at all. 3dr wheels are ok but comps etc make em look meaner imo

 

I think now there is going to be a big turn around where people will put the cossies back to standard cars as there not only getting worth more but are getiing a better classic status

 

I love lattice and will not change them lol so your not alone . On a 4x4 saph it has to be sharktooths with mud flaps too.Big power cossies i agree not ideal on 15s and 7.5j.

lattice are the best imo comps are way to common and i never understood the following of hocks ! they were just a cheap brand of wheels back in the day

 

thats too brave for me rob,aps are in a different league

i would love the comfort of a set of lattice jay,they drive and handle nicer on the 15,s,

i have a small set of aps ,i might try them to see if they fit

brake fade was always the probs even at standard power james

weight distribution andy,plus i fookin hate the way ford threw the loom at the car and though it looked alright

standard is rarer though dan

i concur jay ,10 years down the road comps will be familiar sights in gardens as flower pots

i like all 3 tbh ,ford got it right imo

I love seeing a well chosen aftermarket wheel on the right saph but I remember them new and always wanted one i guesss its why I prefer the factory look.

 

i dont dislike aftermarket wheels ,.15 inch wheels were big back in the day and now look a little on the small side but i think design wise ford got it right

i am definatley putting standard wheels back on the 3drs

 

Standard rims on the 3dr are great James, they drive superb on 15s, but on a Saphh big no no from me.

But it's all personal choice

I know what you mean James, I really like lattices on the right car, I keep going between wanting 17" TH2's or buying some standard wheels and brakes and putting it back to standard lol, I'm shite at making up my mind lol
