Mk3 Mondeo Immobiliser Problem

My brother just had to call out the RAC as his Mk3 Mondeo TDCi wouldn't start

He has been told its a immobiliser problem and that he needs to have the red master key reprogrammed

Anyone else had this problem?

Can anyone recommend some where in Essex that can do this?

They dont have red master keys any more, what is the immobileser light doing when a key is put in to start? Has he tryed a spare key?

All I know mate he has been told to get the master key reprogrammed, I will call him tomorrow to find out
