As above im going to race next year in the wsscc and so far ive met all needed items bar one a rollcage which it has confused me, The regs are as follow...

All cars must comply with MSA Regulations K Safety Criteria some of the more important regulations are clarified below.
Roll Bar - A Roll Bar to K 1.5.2 is mandatory.
Head Restraint - The fitting of a Head Restraint to K 13 is mandatory.
Seat Belts - Seat Belts (4 Point) to K 2.1.1 and K 2.1.1 to K 2.1.3 are minimum.( Q 19.14.2 refers).
Fire Extinguisher - A Fire Extinguisher K3 and Q19.14.7 is mandatory
Battery - The fitting of an External Circuit Breaker to K 8.1 to K 8.3 and K .8.5.
Red Warning Light - The fitting of a Rear Red Warning Light to K 5.1 is mandatory.
Towing Eyes - The fitting of Towing Eyes front and rear to Q 19.1.3 are mandatory.
All drivers of open cars must wear hand restraints during qualifying and race

Which k 1.5.2 is

1.5.2.

Each ROPS manufactured after 1.1.97 for which
the MSA or the FIA has issued a ROPS (Rollcage)
Certificate must bear an identification plate which
details the manufacturer and the manufacturer’s part
number allocated to the cage. Details of this identity
plate are to be included on the ROPS (Rollcage)

certificate.

So does that mean i can use any fia msa min spec roll cage because to me i can't understand that lol.

yes. As long as it has a plate saying who made it/model of cage and is fia/msa approved and comes with a cert.. personally i would look to see what most of the competitors are using then you know its good...i wouldnt be scrimping on a rollcage for an open top car!!!

 

I thought so, Im going down on 30th to see but from what ive seen in these types of races 6 point are the most widely used. There the safety rules for all cars and classes im in a fiesta mk4.

 

the cage needs to be current msa spec min requirements seemless cds 45mmx2.5mm or 50mmx2mm doesnt need to be certified but 38mm t45 needs a fia crash test cert
