I'm pretty new here, been watching the forum for about 3 moths now, and since my Capri needs some wor i thougt, why not make a thread about it!

My car is a 1978 Ford capri MK3, original 1600, but it has a 2.0i DOHC from a 91 sierra with the MT75 box.

problem is i have to replace several bearing in the rear axle, yesterday i replaced the outer bearings, the problem remained though.

so today i am takin out the back axle so i can inspect it on my workbench.

Just found out i'm in trouble, it's not the bearings but my diff has cracked!
got no clue on how it could have cracked, but wil have to think trough what my options are because budget is close to zero (i'm unemployed at the moment....)

I got myself a repacement axle for a bargain price, i only need to do some paint and replace the breaking etc. Pics!
