Im not really great at writing threads and updating them but over the bank holiday weekend i set upon fitting my 2 litre blacktop engine from my MK2 mondeo in to my MK4 fiesta. The transplant was very straight forward.I used a fiesta, escort flywheel, focus clutch and a diesel ib5 hydraulic gearbox and std drive shafts.I used all the original engine and gearbox mounts.Everything went straight in and im using a zetec one piece 4 branch manifold and down pipe.Ive gone to the lengths of using the mondeo loom with pats and using the mondeo ignition barrel so i can use the 3 button fob.I might transfer the door and boot locks over yet and my heated washer jets. The plan is to keep the car looking standard with a turbo conversion some time in the year.Im using a alloy mondeo radiator with a rad fan trimmed down to fit tempory for the time being.Jobs to finish is getting the fluids in,one water hose and sort my exhaust out as its blowing and im off.
Cool project. So did you use the mondeo mounts or the fiesta ones.
Hi Glenn i used the original fiesta mounts. Its a tight fit.Im using the mondeo inlet and a rear mounted alternator.Should be driving it weekend,i can drive it now just want to sort the exhaust out first

My mate is coming round to sort out my exhaust now so i should be on the road in the morning There will be a few niggley bits but i can sort that once its driving
Love the sleepers saw a really nice mk4 fiesta at FITP, looked completely std even had rear drums but was running 209BHP
Ive got no speedo or rev counter so im using my gps to measure speed lol.I will sort it out over the week though.Picks up speed bloody rapid and when you want to manovere round cars the power is instant.Im yet to sort my blowing exhaust out and get a proper filter set up.The car is staying std looking and im going with a turbo charger later this year
Stuck some 16 inch mondeo rims on the fiesta now there 195/45/16 they handle better now it just needs slaming which will be done in a few weeks and there is no rubbing at all
Here is a better pick of the Fiesta lol.I took it for mot today and it passed with an advisory on the bushes on the wishbones.Just bought some new wish bones and ive bought some new drop links I thought I might as well change them at the same time.Ive ordered a manual steering rack off Ebay as well so I look forward to doing that and binning the power steering altogether.Im gonna get it lowered and then look at a turbo conversion,i have most of the bits and pieces minus the turbo just not sure yet what to go for
Car looks good mate, your well ahead of me I need to get my arse in gear and get some more bits done when you going to start the turbo conversion then?

Im saying November time as a dead line but it will proberly be earlier than that lol.Just do bits when you can mate.I do mine in my spare time lol.Its my daily as well I start work early in the morning. As for the turbo conversion I don't want to attract loads of attention hence being a sleeper.I don't want some massive loud exhaust either, something quiet that wont strangle the car either.I don't no if a 2 inch cat back will be ok for upto 300bhp I don't plan on going anything over that its plenty for a daily runner or will I need the 2 1/2inch job.My cat back is a 1 1/2 at most or maybe an inch its the std 1.2 zetec exhaust which is restricting the power I have now lol.

Door strips are held on by a sealer/Glue.
Exhaust bore depends but if your going to turbo it 2,5 or 2,25 min.
2,25 is the upgrade size for the 1.6 N/A mind and you have a bigger engine and going to turbo it.
