Default HELP INFO NEEDED!! WITH PICS...

Looking at my amal valve i see a bleed valve ( or so ive been told ) but as im in no way mechanically minded im unsure of wot its doing or if it should be there ( people say its fine others say its not ) i presume the other pipe should be connected ( its blanked off ) is this gonna do any damage it being this way?? any help you can give me will be appreciated...

thats the return pipe that goes to the air box but you no longer have that air box you runnig a cone filter as for the bleed valve i dont have a clue it think some one was trying to make a boost controler or a jet for the amal valve to stop boost drop to fast i dont no just a gessss

remove the bleed valve.. it's doin fuck all, and remove the capped off hose.

get a new bit of hose..... and join the amal valve to the one under the cone.

Wooahhhh slowdown...

If you remove that bleed valve you will likely melt the engine as its obviously being used to control the return flow from the amal bleed so removing it will INCREASE the boost pressure.. likely by LOTS.

Get it done by someone who knows what hes doing or leave it alone

Hiya craig

Out of interest, does your amal valve click when the ignition gets switched on?

Neil.

Ahhhhh,so what would happen if you had an Amal valve AND a bleed valve?

I found mine disconnected so i plugged it back in thinking it had just got knocked off due to a bumpy road or something but it constantly clicks when i turn ignition on...?clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclic k Stop's whenever i start the car though.

So i just unplugged it again and been at AVA a few times since and they havent said anything so i guess this is OK?

Yes, as ive said its being used to restrict the fow of air from the amal valve. All your switch does is turn this valve on and off

dont think so they just go straight trough to the switch in the car.... i maybe wrong.. holds 12psi most times but some times only holds 10 could this be due to a worn actuator?
