Default F40 or RS1600i?

on my way to one of my centres today,
pulling off the A12 at brentwood on the phone to a customer i heard an almighty scream, looked over and an H plate F40 went screaming past at well over a ton!

i nearly pissed my pants!

on the way back on the same bit of A12 i say going in my origional direction, a red 308 magnum ferarri

got me thinking,

my 2 fave altime cars

F40 or RS1600i, forgetting the costs involved in owning one

a F40 or caspian blue/graphite grey both standard cars,

which one would you have?

i 100% must say both new cars from the factory, id have the 16i......

what 2 dream cars, or dream and blue collar would be your 50/50 split?

p.s i actually stopped on the A127 last time i saw an RS1600i with the bonnet up
turns out it was being tweeked while getting a live map lol

Sean.

Am I reading this right? If you'd rather have an Escort RS1600i, instead of a Ferrari F40? You must be mental!

F40, no question out of the OP's choices.
i'd love a nice 80's 911 turbo, no idea on names, but just so iconic when i was growing up as a kiddie.

if i was handed the keys to both cars and asked which one id drive first, the F40 no question about it

but to keep, RS1600i all day long

Sorry mate, I'm not meaning to sound funny, but for me, that's such a clear cut decision!

Even if you didn't drive the F40, you could never get tired of seeing it in the garage!

yes, i can see your point james, and im not being arsey or seeing others being arsey, i dont give a fuck lol

i dunno, i thaught about this for about an hour while driving back, and hand on heart, i love Rs1600is that much, they are my top 2 all time favourite cars, and the RS1600i is 1st, and F40 second

if i could pick a top 5 car garage, they would both be there side by side,

does this make more sense? lol

ive had 3 16i`s and will have another few before i die im sure

I like the f40 we mot one every year,i have to say i couldnt own one tho nice for pub talk and to look at but fook me there horrible to drive and to get in and out of.also the 308's dont like them either we mot those normally on a weekly basis and there just awfull ok granted they were probly brilliant back in the 80s but i just think there so dated now.
Just my opinion

I would prefer to own a caspian rs1600i. Purely as the F40 would be less reliable than the Escort.

Don't know how many yellow F40's there are, but the one I knew used to be owned by Rod Stewart...

Umm F40!'s

i was in Royal Wotton Basset a few weeks ago and a left hand drive f40 was coming the other way, had to wind down the window just to listen to it!

my 50/50 split would be a Zonda or Carrera GT

Sean.
Dream Car - Bugatti Veyron

Blue collar - i'm probably going to be slated for this, but I really had a hankering for a MG Montego Turbo or MG Maestro Tickford Turbo when I was younger

Both are mega rare now, there were only 505 Tickford edition turbo's made. It'd be uber cool to see a mint one on the road these days
