been on the lookout for a new project and would really like a mk 1-2 escort ,

but even base models and 4 doors seem to be commanding stupid money at the moment ,,

was looking at around 3 k to get me a project ,

but anything worth considering seems silly money ,

granted im looking on ebay , any better places to look ?

 

I know prices for mk2 escort dropped a little over the last 2 years,for the big spec ones anyway

 

I've looked at mk 2 escorts on Internet !

Cosworth powered , roll cage , no carpets etc etc , they don't seem to be selling for asking prices ,maybe too dear ?
But standard cars rs2000 etc seem to be going ok

beefy if only you mentioned this last month, my mate just sold his 4 door unfinished project it only wanted putting back together it had a fresh paintjob freshly rebuilt 2.1 pinto and brand new minilites plus everything to put it together and the silly fucker let it go for 3grand!

 

Given the price of basket case shells and panels, I'd be looking for a 'finished' one, Ive seen shells going for 2+ in need of panel replacement therapy and whole cars with a decent spec going for 7-12!
