Default Drilled Numberplate Pic Request

Ages ago i saw a red mk4 escort sleeper, rs turbo engine fitted. It had a drilled front number plate, 2-3mm holes in 50mm circles across it to aid airflow.
Anyone remember this?
Pics?

Legal - Ermm dunno.
Not overheating probs, just the numberplate blocks alot of the airflow to the ic n rad I had an extended "rip session" at the weekend, 4-5mins of hard driving n the coolant reached mid 90s and the inlet temps were high 30s.
The gaps in the Orion bumper face directly at the end tanks of the IC, id like to mod the bumper somewhat, but the plate would still block alot of airflow. Just wanna improve it!

what intercooler you got rog? I had a similar problem with getting hot quicky. and now just wack the heaters on. my bumper also blocks a fair bit of the rad/cooler as its a poverty spec bonus.

Ive got an Airtec Single Pass IC with airtec rad and turbo cooler. The car does run nice and cool generally, i just want to improve airflow...
So i've done this!

I've drilled the bumper with a 50mm hole cutter behind the holes. Loads of airflow!

I genuinely believe the small holes in the plate will make no difference, I was reading up on satellites when I was specking my system and the general info I was given was over certain windspeeds it made no difference, I know a satellite and car are diff but the same principals apply.

Can't see it making any difference, air takes the path of least resistance, which is not through teeny tiny holes! You'll soon get fed up of people asking why you have holes in your number plate
