Genuine RS500 shells were labelled GBBE GG 38600 to GBBE GG 39099 . These chassis labels are found under a small flap next to the drivers seat and also mounted in the engine bay. NOT A RS500

 

Strange cause its got the engine,spoilers,instrument and registrationcard from a 500.Take a look please:

Just because it has the bumpers and spoilers, it doesn`t necessarily mean it`s a genuine RS500 .

And by the way, 52 (white), and 4 prototypes (white) makes 56, not 46 as the site says.

 

Its got the engine as well....+ the original Dunlop D40`s from new fitted.The car comes from a collector who had 30 cars,inkl ex Trevor Taylors RS200.I really dont know what to bealive on this car,even if i know cosworths like my own pockets.Bought my first 3`door brand new in 1989 and has collected special parts for years,inkl a lot of genuine 500 parts,but i want a MINT 500 in my garage.

Bought your first 3 door new in 89????! They stopped producing the 3dr / 500 in 87!!!

Ok,Ill try to find out.But what i dont understand is that the owner has mounted an xtra oilcooler kit,a chip,the gearknob is damaged,the carpet and the roof inside is dirty over the head of the passanger seat.Is this possible on a 8000mile one owner Rs 500

try an get a picture of the build No plaque inside mate.

Im sure someone can tell you if the number the car is claiming to be was
a white 500, if they can, they might be able to tell you the chassis No its supposed to have too......

cant see why the roof would be dirty though,.... unless a greasy haired jeremy clarkson look alike has owned it for the 8000 miles.

 

rs500 did not come with a build plate as standard these were supplied by the rs500 register so if the car is not known it will not have one

 

check that chassis no mate i recon it's a miss quote

dont worry mate you would be supprised at the amount of peep's who think plaque is standard they are very well made my opinion is tickford should off made them

No,im not going to buy it.Dont trust the seller regarding the milage and history.Got 3-4 PM from gays who say the same thing.got a tip from someone,very interesting:

"I know a bit about this car - it never had import duties paid when it was in the UK or now in France - if you try to export it the French Customs will impound it and you will have to pay all duties plus fines plus interest on money owed - I would avoid unless you want to risk loosing a lot of money"

Will try to find another one in England.Tried to Email Automotive,but no answer and I always buy "Performance Ford" and "Fast ford",maybe i can find one there,im not in a hurry.
