I'd disagree, I've been with Three for years, I always have a strong 3G signal and Internet is unlimited and faster than my home broadband. Never have to ring customer service either.
Not got a bad word to say about them

^ Thrush is correct. If bought direct from Apple they will be permanently unlocked. This is because they are not subject to a network subsidy, as you are effectively buying direct from the manufacturer, instead of through a 3rd party ie a network or independent retailer.

And as the long haired southern cunt said, if you buy a phone direct from Apple it's unlocked forever!
Yes its 320 posted and insured for the 3 handset. However it is not unlocked as i have tried o2 in this handset and it doesnt accept it. The orange handset is the same, only accepts orange.

Wouldn't have minded if it was not locked, but as it is and I don't want to take the risk of shelling out if I can't unlock it, what does orange do? Is it that ee thing now?
they are network locked mate which is the issue
i've got the money sat here waiting to burn a hole in my pocket but i'm reluctant to spend it on something which may need more spending on it

£320 not a bad price, good price it is, but apple will not unlock it, orange severs have been down past 7 months, only 1 way to unlock it is from the original owner he or she will have to ring orange up and orange will charge about £20 and u will have to use the iPhone with the that contract sim inside for 3 months so orange knows your using the phone, after 3 months are over then they will unlock it but again this only applies to the the first owner of that iPhone In which the contract belongs too. Thats the down fall part only to it.

Yeah it is a bit of a pain, hopefully someone will want it who is on orange, i think the price is cheap considering shop prices, maybe have to just try them on ebay
Three will unlock it for £20, i know this as i did one last year. However you would have to be an existing customer or if the seller has a Three contract they could do it for you, im guessing he doesnt have a Three contract otherwise he'd have offered already im sure....
Orange will not unlock the phone for you unless your the original owner and your account is upto date, trust me I tried, told them I bought the phone second hand and they told me they won't unlock it unless the previous owner does it, no get around your stuck with the network.
So to the seller, get them unlocked before you sell them if you want to get rid, because whoever you sell them to wont be able to. Orange say 28 days but I've done loads and it takes about a week, unless there's another reason why you can't unlock it yourself????

We couldnt get an orange one unlocked either, it was my misses phone and she had an account for 2 years, yet when asked in the shop could they unlock it the answer was no, when i asked why not they just said they cant do it in the shop anymore, so i rang the customer services and they said they cant you'll have to go into a shop, well i already did and they said no?
Orange are t&ats
Luckily we are both on Three now, people who actually do as their told if you ring them.

Only one way orange will unlock it if u have the sim inside the phone for 3 months and regular top up and use the phone then after 3 months they will unlock it with a charge of £20, but then down side is u can't sell the phone as new then.
