Eveytime i go to start my car, especailly when it cold it start up fine but rev high, stick about 2000rpm.

also i can left my foot of the accelerator and it still drive along in first gear?
But as soon as it warm it runs fine...

any ideas??

Thats normal, alot of cars do that. When you start it just give it a minute and the revs will drop abit then by the time youve drove to end of your street it should be sitting at about 800rpm.

It shouldn't sit as high as 2000 rpm, i'd be looking at either a duff ISCV or an air leak on the inlet manifold somewhere!

its about 1200rpm on 170 then drops to around 8to 900. 2000 is not normal

Maybe 2k is abit high but they deffinatly sit higher than normal on cold start up. When I get home I will start mine and let you know.

Sods law will be mines broken to lol.


When was it last serviced?
