Default Engine stand

Hi all

Going to get a engine stand as itl make painting and cleaning block easier ect

My question

Do I have to get a 2ltr zetec specific or will a universal stand work ?

Most stands are universal, they have adjustable bolt positions. You may need to get suitable bolts for your particular engine, they probably need to be longer than the bell housing bolts to fit through the brackets on the stand.

I got the slightly beefier clarke one (square bottomed instead of T shaped) from machine mart and at first i thought it wouldn't fit my engine (RST) but i got there in the end. didnt come with any bolts for engine but a quick trip to BnQ sorted that out.
